I have a few different charcuterie board designs that I make. This maple and sapele charcuterie board is one style. It is 1” tall and measures 11” x 11 3/4”. The corners have been rounded off and the edges have been rounded over for easy handling. Finger grips have been cut into the sides so it is easy to lift. The glue used is waterproof and food safe. The finish I use on these is a blend of mineral oils and wax, all of which are food safe.
Maple and sapele were used for their beauty and durability. A benefit of these woods is they do not cause allergic reactions that other woods such as walnut can. Cherry, purpleheart, and padauk are other woods I frequently use in charcuterie boards, but if you have certain woods or colors of wood you want in yours, I can look into sourcing them.
Note that I can install rubber feet on this board, but have not installed them yet as some people prefer their boards to not have them. Rubber feet will add 5/16” to the height and will also help prevent the board from sliding on the counter top. Another benefit of rubber feet is they do not allow the board to create suction to the countertop. If you want rubber feet on your board, please let me know.
I'm currently in the process of designing and prototyping other styles of charcuterie boards, serving trays, and paddles. I'll update this website once I have some products ready, but feel free to contact me about them.
